Claire is MYAN’s National Project Coordinator, where she leads project design with a strong focus on including young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds in both the design and decision-making processes. She collaborates closely with project officers across all states and territories within MYAN’s partner networks and alliances, ensuring diverse representation from across Australia, united as one voice.
Claire brings to MYAN over 20 years of public sector experience. Over that time Claire has been part of innovative policy and project work that has engaged and supported young people from migrant and refugee backgrounds. Claire has held strategic policy and leadership roles in the Office for Youth and Disability, Youth Justice, the Refugee Minor Program and most recently provided secretariat management of the Victorian Children’s Council.
Claire has a deep interest in new ways to listen, engage, co-design and evaluate projects that deliver sustainable outcomes within a human rights framework. Claire has both a Master of Public Policy and Management, University of Melbourne and the ANZSOG Executive Masters in Public Administration, and is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
