The call for applications is now open to join the Refugee Advisory Group to the Consultations on Resettlement and Complementary Pathways (CRCP) for the 2026-2028 (two-year) term.
About the Refugee Advisory Group to the CRCP
This group serves as the official mechanism through which refugee representatives inform policy decision-making on resettlement and complementary pathways at the CRCP.
This Advisory Group, composed of 15 refugee representatives, has the following main purposes:
- Act as a liaison between the CRCP community and refugee communities at large;
- coordinate refugee participation and statements at the working group consultations and the CRCP itself;
- create spaces for refugees to engage in discussions on matters of their own concern related to third country solutions, resettlement, and complementary pathways; and
- actively support the meaningful inclusion of refugees in a representative and non-discriminatory manner.
Eligibility criteria:
• Candidates should have either 1) lived experience of Resettlement or Complementary Pathways, OR 2) have professional knowledge or experience in Resettlement or Complementary Pathways, in addition to their lived experience of forced displacement;
• Be able to speak English at a professional/fluent level.
• Be a minimum of 18 years old and able to travel to Geneva for the CRCP.
• Be willing to actively participate in meetings, consultations, and other (commit to 8 hours a month, including 1-hour monthly meetings with the rest of the advisory group and UNHCR) and adhere to the group’s mission and responsibilities.
• Candidates from any nationality, ethnicity, different genders, ages, geographic locations, ethnic and religious backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
