MYAN’s latest Data Snapshot provides a comprehensive overview of child and youth arrivals to Australia through the Humanitarian, Family, and Skilled migration streams between July 2024 to June 2025.
Child Arrivals
For the first time, MYAN has also produced a data snapshot on the arrivals of children aged 0-12.
Data insights include:
Total Child Arrivals: 23,494 children aged 0-12 arrived in Australia via the Humanitarian, Family and Skilled migration streams. Children represent 29% of the total number of all arrivals across all three migration streams.

- Humanitarian: VIC (39%) NSW (29%) QLD (16%)
- Family: VIC (36%) NSW (30%) QLD (14%)
- Skilled: NSW (30%) VIC (21%) QLD (12%)

This snapshot is based on data from the Department of Home Affairs and excludes certain visa subclasses. It aims to support understanding of demographic trends and facilitate appropriate service planning for young migrants.
