Alison Larkins, Commonwealth Coordinator-General of Migrant Services, will be officially launching the NYSF, with a panel of speakers, including young people and sector representatives.
MYAN developed the NYSF in 2016 to support and measure good practice with young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds. It remains Australia’s first and only evidence-based national guide to benchmark good practice in youth settlement, and is the only one of its kind globally. With practical tools, including Assessment Guides, the NYSF is designed to equip policy makers and service providers with the skills and knowledge to best support young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds to thrive in Australia.
Since 2016, policy makers and practitioners across sectors have used the NYSF to guide policy, program planning, delivery and evaluation. More than 1,500 people have participated in professional development on the NYSF in Australia and internationally.
The 2020 edition includes updated information, a new section on youth work in Australia, new good practice capabilities and revised tools/resources to support application of the Framework in practice.
The launch will be an opportunity to learn about how the NYSF has supported good practice in service planning and delivery and features of the 2020 edition.
We look forward to seeing you there!
