MYAN Project Support Officer
National Conference (CMY95)

  • Casual (1-2 days per week), ending December 2017
  • Base rate of $30.55 per hour, including casual loading this will be $38.19 per hour
  • Based at CMY Carlton Office

The Multicultural Youth Advocacy Network (MYAN) is Australia’s national peak body representing multicultural youth issues.

The MYAN are hosting a national multicultural youth conference in partnership with Melbourne University in Melbourne in November, 2017. Combining research, policy and practice, this event is a unique opportunity bringing together academics, policy makers and practitioners from across Australia and internationally, in relation to children and young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds. 

The MYAN Project Support Officer will play a critical role in coordinating the planning and smooth operation of the event. This includes administrative support and high level liaison with conference delegates, speakers and other stakeholders prior to and during the conference.
The successful applicant will have:
  • Excellent administrative, organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to work with a variety of people across a range of work situations
  • Experience in promotions, including event marketing, communications and/or participant recruitment
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint).
  • A demonstrated commitment to our principles: diversity, human rights and participation.
