Health

Advocating for the health and wellbeing of young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds, we spread awareness and share vital resources.

Multicultural Youth Advocacy Network Australia ‘s (MYAN) programs and activities are rooted in the belief that young people are the experts of their own life. We recognise their identity and intersectionality by ensuring ensuring their safety, rights and interests are protected and upheld in health crises and beyond. MYAN continuously develops strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, industry bodies, and relevant sectors to maximise the impact of its activities and its national scope to improve the health outcomes of multicultural communities.

MYAN’s health projects are funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health and Aged Care and informed by a national Youth Advisory Group who support the effective and targeted design and dissemination of health resources and activities for multicultural young people and their communities.
